How We Teach

At A ONE, teaching only counts when it turns into understanding — so every student learns live, on a curriculum built around them, with someone tracking their progress at every step.

Live, interactive classes — never pre-recorded

Classes run in person and as fully interactive live Zoom sessions — real-time discussion, questions, and engagement, never recorded lectures. Online here isn't a compromise: with real-time class monitoring and a data-driven management portal, A ONE delivers a level of precision that's hard to replicate even in a traditional classroom. And if a student misses a session, recordings keep learning gaps from opening up.

A curriculum built around each student

We start with an in-depth consultation with the student and parents to set direction and recommend the most suitable subjects, and each curriculum is tailored to the student and taught from our own specially developed materials. Placement tests are required for SAT and ACT; for other subjects, students begin at their grade level in a structured curriculum. If a class feels too easy or too challenging, academic coordinators work with parents to adjust placement.

A coordinator tracking every student

Each class is supported by a dedicated program coordinator who monitors performance and engagement in real time. Attendance and homework are managed throughout, with any missed assignment or absence communicated to parents immediately.

Feedback and review at every step

Every assignment is graded thoroughly, with detailed feedback and revisions on writing. Students get a consultation after their first lesson, expert answers within 24 hours through the A ONE Universe Questions tab, class logs that analyze strengths and weaknesses, comprehensive report cards for parents, and regular teacher meetings to review progress.

Data-driven and always current

We continuously analyze newly released Digital SAT exams and update our curriculum every month to reflect real test trends. Through our own scoring platform, students rehearse under exam conditions identical to the real thing, building confidence and performance.

Ivy League graduates — not undergraduate tutors

A ONE's instructors are graduates of top, accredited universities — including the Ivy League — and not a single one is a current undergraduate. Where some providers lean on undergraduate tutors, we don't: a completed degree is a world apart from undergraduate-level knowledge. Beyond lessons and homework, our teachers help students become open-minded, analytical, and industrious.

Common questions

Are classes live or pre-recorded?

All classes are live. In-person and online sessions are fully interactive — students engage with teachers, ask questions, and join real-time discussions. There are no pre-recorded lectures, and recordings of the live session are available if a class is missed.

How is each student's progress tracked?

A dedicated program coordinator monitors each student's performance and engagement in real time. Progress is shared with parents through comprehensive report cards, immediate updates on missed work or absences, and detailed class logs after every session.

How is the curriculum kept up to date?

We analyze newly released Digital SAT exams and update our curriculum every month to reflect real test trends, and students rehearse under real exam conditions on our own scoring platform.
